Budapest enjoys warm temperatures from
March through to October, with the peak season in July and August, December is
the most beautiful, so you have a wide choice in terms of when to travel there.
Budapest is in fact made up of two cities, Buda and Pest, which were united in
1873. The city is an architectural paradise, with examples of the Ottoman,
Baroque, Renaissance, Classical, Art Nouveau and Gothic styles. Buda contains
the city's old town, Buda Castle, as well as Gell?t Hill with its Statue of
Liberty and citadel. You can see the city laid out before you in remarkable
panoramic views from this vantage point. In Pest you will find St. Stephen's
Basilica, with its ornate Neo-Classical design, as well as Budapest's zoo.
Aside from the sights and buildings to visit and take in, holidays in Budapest
offer great opportunities to relax. Try City Park, with its entrance at the
impressive Heroes' Square, for its lakes and the stunning Vajdahunyad Castle. By
far one of the best ways to spend a day in Budapest is at one of the city's many
luxurious thermal baths. Gell?t Spa and Sz?henyi Thermal Bath are two of
the best. When you have got some of your energy back Budapest's vibrant
